Inclusion Week Unified Sports Day

Special Olympics Iowa invites you to a Unified Sports Day at the MidAmerican Energy RecPlex in West Des Moines on Tuesday, March 3rd, 2026!

Inclusion Week is March 2nd-6th and is celebrated by all 130+ Unified Champion Schools across Iowa to help encourage students and faculty to embrace individuals of all abilities. This year we are adding in a Unified Sports Day as part of this celebration! Unified Sports Days offer a single-day event for athletes to engage with volunteers from the community through a variety of sport skills & drills stations including football, soccer, volleyball, cornhole and more!

Inclusion Week Unified Sports Day

Date: Tuesday, March 3rd, 2026

Time: 9:00 am-12:30 pm 

Location: MidAmerican RecPlex (6500 Grand Ave, West Des Moines, IA 50266)

Volunteers will have the opportunity to engage with and create meaningful interactions with Special Olympic athletes throughout the duration of the event.
