University of Iowa Unified Sports Day

The Special Olympics Iowa X University of Iowa Unified Sports Day will take place on Saturday, April 27th from 9:00am-12:00pm at the University of Iowa Field House.

Unified Sports Days are a non-competitive, single-day event for all athletes 8 years or older. This is a great way for athletes to try new sport skills and engage with university students. We are searching for volunteers to act as Unified Partners and participate in the sport stations alongside the athletes.

Volunteers will have the opportunity to engage with and create meaningful interactions with Special Olympics Iowa athletes throughout the duration of the event. Lunch will be provided to all volunteers!

We will organize a volunteer meeting at the start of the day of the event to assign roles, explain organization, & prepare to to make this a memorial day for our athletes!
